Dr. Victoria Scarano-Afflitto

Dr. Scarano-Afflitto has been practicing with NY Chiropractic & Physical Therapy for over a decade. Specializing in the area of pre-natal and perinatal care, Scarano-Afflitto has a loyal following among expectant mothers due to her extensive experience with the Webster Breech Turning Technique. 

Dr. Scarano-Afflitto also works with many children and patients suffering from migraine headaches and asthma. Throughout her career, she has excelled in the practice and utilization of the following techniques: Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson Drop, Sacro Occipital Technique, Activator, Graston Method, Soft tissue/gentile manipulation, and Cox Flexion/Distraction.

Board-certified in both Chiropractic and Physiotherapy, Dr. Scarano-Afflitto is a graduate of Life University College of Chiropractic. She received a Bachelor of Science. from Moravian College. Dr. Scarano-Afflitto is also a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the New York State Chiropractic Association. She currently serves as the Vice President of the New York State Chiropractic Association (District 5/ Richmond County).

Dr. Eric Workin

Practicing for over 17 years, Dr. Eric Workin received a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College and has since been a first choice in health and wellness care for New Yorkers near and far.

Dr. Workin has a focus on restoring patients health through a specialized combination of targeted chiropractic care, balanced nutrition, core strength stability, and education about whole-being wellness. Dr. Workin also holds a wide variety of time-proven techniques under his belt, including Diversified, Logan, Thompson Drop, Pierce Stillwagon, Manipulation Under Anesthesia, Soft Tissue, and Foundation Training.

In addition to his storied chiropractic background, Dr. Workin is also certified as a Personal Fitness Trainer through both the American Aerobic Association International and the International Sports Medicine Association, making him an integral part of NY Chiropractic & Physical Therapy's dedication to providing comprehensive patient care services.


 

Dr. Anthony Palumbo

Dr. Palumbo has been practicing chiropractic since 1996.  Throughout his career he has accumulated impressive experience that includes providing independent medical examinations for many of the area's leading corporations, and staff privileges at several area hospitals and surgical centers. Dr. Palumbo also teaches at New York Chiropractic College and has served as an expert witness in many New York State court appearances.

Dr. Palumbo is board-certified in both New York and Florida. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Life Chiropractic College and also received a B.S. SUNY Regents College.  Dr. Palumbo is currently serving as the Queens District President of the New York State Chiropractic Association, and is a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association and the Florida Chiropractic Society. 

 

 

Dr. Eldin Mehanovic

Dr. Mehanovic is the most recent addition to NYCPT’s team of expert Board-Certified doctors. After moving to America from Bosnia, Dr. Mehanovic was inspired by his career as an amateur soccer player to pursue his Doctorate in Chiropractic at the New York Chiropractic College. With a strong background in athletics and a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Buffalo, Dr. Mehanovic is highly aware of the reticulate physiology of the active person.

His passion for working with severe and unique conditions was realized during his time at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he dealt with complex cases, and coordinated varying levels of care. Dr. Mehanovic’s other work includes the Rochester Outpatient Clinic, St. John Fisher Rotation, and the Mercy Outreach Program, in which he provided quality Chiropractic care to medically underserved areas. He is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Chiropractic Association, New York State Chiropractic Association and the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association.
