Top 7 Healthiest Grab-and-Go Snacks

I don’t just write about nutrition and health– I live  it– every day. I want you to live it, too, which is why I’m sharing some of my favorite grab-and-go snacks today. While boosting metabolism, my recommended snacks are full of proteins and minerals. These snacks are tasty and nutritious, giving you energy on the go!

1. Goji berries

Known for their anti-oxidant content, Goji berries are extremely rich in nutrients. I prefer to eat them dried, my favorite brand being Earth Circle Organics.

2. Sprouted chips

These are great when you have a seemingly insatiable need to munch on something, or want an appetizer for hungry guests. Way Better Snacks make a sprouted chip that’s delicious and easy for your body to absorb! This is due to the sprouted ingredients used to make the chip, which include a ton of Omega-3 fatty acids. I enjoy this snack with organic salsa.

3. Roasted seaweed

Roasted seaweed is a lightweight snack that actually helps your brain grow. B6, abundant in this food, enforces the development of neurotransmitters and hormones.  You can even crumble up this flavorful snack and sprinkle it on anything! Roasted seaweed adds a nice touch to your meals without the harmful ingredients of other garnishes, especially the Sea Snax brand. I personally like to saute vegetables and use the roasted seaweed as a wrap!

4. Raw snack bars

6. Kale chips

These are another alternative to the typical party snack, and I often pair it with hummus. Kale has zero fat, but is high in fiber and low in calories, making it a great snack food!

7. Raw super cookies

Super cookies are great for when I have to satisfy my sweet tooth. Go Raw  provides a flavorful brand of this treat. While being completely vegan, free of oils, and with no added sugar, super cookies are described as “alive,” and aid in your body’s digestion.

Whether your day is busy, or you’re taking it easy, these snacks offer you the opportunity to put good food with meaningful nutritional value into your body.
